The Neosho National Fish Hatchery in southwest Missouri is the nation’s oldest operational federal fish hatchery. In addition to design and fabrication of all exhibits, Malone Design/Fabrication assisted with almost every aspect of the interior design of the building and public use spaces. The 9,200 square foot. visitor’s center is expected to accommodate more than 100,000 visitors per year. It enhances environmental education and interpretation opportunities, and generate economic benefits for the hatchery and surrounding areas. The hatchery’s rich history, endangered pallid sturgeon program, and rainbow trout mitigation are artfully displayed using only green materials in the LEED certified facility.
