Malone Design/Fabrication was contracted to design, fabricate and install exhibits at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge visitor center. The refuge is uniquely located within the urban and suburban areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The refuge is comprised of approximately 14,000 acres, spanning 99 miles of the Minnesota River. The goals of the exhibit were not only to educate the visitor on the various natural habitats found within the refuge, but more importantly, educate visitors on the importance of the wildlife refuge system and how it is different than just visiting a city/county park. A major feature within the exhibit is a fifty foot long fabric graphic of a wetland scene, consisting of over 6000 thousand images of animals found within the refuge.
